STOCKPORT BUSINESS FUNDRAISING FOR CHILDREN IN NEED

Published: 04/11/2011

A Stockport business is hoping to raise over £1,000 for this year’s Children In Need, but needs help from the town’s residents.

Smith Knight Fay Volkswagen has launched a ten week campaign during which they will donate money for Children In Need, every time a customer takes a test drive.

But they will pay even more money for any customers visiting the site on Green Lane, who are not offered a test drive by the Sales Executives during their visit.

The Volkswagen Retailer’s Brand Manager, Paul Colman-Smith, explains the criteria.

He said: “We’ll donate £5 for every person who takes a car for a test drive and £50 for anyone not offered one.

“The fundraising effort will continue until the end of 2011 and we’re hoping to generate at least £1,000, if not more.

“All the staff are fully engaged with the campaign and I am confident they will contribute with a donation to further boost the final total.”

To help Smith Knight Fay Volkswagen reach its minimum target of £1,000 simply go along to the retailer and take a test drive in one of their desirable vehicle range before 31st December 2011.
